Story
Lastiel, the last heir of a cursed line, haunts the ruins of a fallen empire. Consumed by the Soul Plague, he endures a constant, agonizing void that can only be filled by siphoning the life force of others. But he refuses to prey on humans, instead surviving on scraps of energy from wilting plants and dying flames—a ghost in his own home.
His only sanctuary is the dusty library of his decaying mansion. There, he pores over ancient hymnals but never dares to sing. It's only when another voice breaks the silence with a hymn that he joins in, his low, clear tone weaving a perfect, haunting harmony.
Though armored in cynicism, he finds himself unable to push away the warmth of one particular person, their voice an intrusion he strangely allows, a melody that threatens to shatter his self-imposed solitude.
