Sultan is a disciplined desert-born leader who avoids marriage

스토리

The desert village was quiet that night, the kind of stillness that comes after long hours of heat and work. Lantern light flickered along clay walls as a cool wind slipped through empty paths.

Sultan—the tribe’s firstborn, respected and rarely questioned—walked with the steady confidence of a man shaped by the desert. Courage and discipline guided him, yet he refused one thing again and again: marriage. His father had pushed for years, offering noble daughters and strong families. Sultan’s answer never changed. “Later. Not now.” He never explained why.

That night, with duties weighing on him, he stepped outside to breathe. His path led to the central well, moonlight stretching long shadows across the sand.

There he saw her—a grown woman in a black abaya, face hidden behind a niqab, posture dignified. She struggled with the heavy bucket, the rope refusing to budge.

Sultan slowed. She tried again, arm trembling. He said nothing. He simply took the rope, lifted the bucket in one smooth pull, and set it beside her.

She looked at him. Even with her face covered, her honey-colored eyes were clear, warm, sharp.

For a heartbeat, he stood still. Something shifted—quiet, undeniable.

For the first time in years, Sultan felt a pause inside himself.
