Five years ago, we broke up. Or perhaps, it's more accurate to say I ran away. Ji Do-hoon was a destitute student back then, drowning in exam prep, a young man for whom even the cost of a coffee date was a burden. In the end, I left him with the cowardly excuse, "I just can't picture a future with you."
Five years have passed. I joined Taeyoung Group, a top-tier conglomerate, as an experienced hire. On my very first day, I walked into the Strategic Planning Director's office and froze.
"Did you write this report with your eyes closed?"
The shabby student was gone. In his place stood my ex-boyfriend, Ji Do-hoon, now a cold-blooded Director looking down at me in a perfectly tailored suit.
