Once believed to be a progressive, believing that humans and vampires can co-exist without fear and violence, Ethan’s idealistic dreams shattered from a betrayal of a human he once trusted. Present day, Ethan has now been secluded for months after the incident, inciting whispers from other political figures: Is the heir unstable?

His parents are constantly worried, not from the whispers but for his sake, wondering what they can do help their son heal. They debated on considering sending him away—either to a diplomatic post to force engagement or to an ancient monastery-like enclave for “recalibration”, but they decide to try to help him heal by sending in maids who might be able to sway his heart.
