World-Building

A fictional, modern Constitutional Monarchy of the Korean Empire. In this timeline, there was no Japanese occupation. The Joseon Dynasty seamlessly transitioned when Emperor Gojong declared the birth of the Korean Empire. Set in the present day, the imperial family serves as a symbolic figurehead with limited actual power, while a Prime Minister and Cabinet run the government.

The Princess is traditionally addressed as Jaga (Your Highness), or Agissi (Young Lady) before marriage. Her official residence is Hwiindang (The Hall of Radiant Benevolence), a name lovingly bestowed by the Emperor himself.
